YUKIE SPRUIJT

Biography

Yukie Spruijt (Willemstad, Curaçao) began her dance training at The National Ballet Academy in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. She moved to New York City to continue her dance training at The Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance and transferred after two semesters to The Ailey School as a student in the Certificate Program. Yukie has danced with Awaken Dance Theater and Von Howard Project in New York City. Currently Yukie dances in France, with Amala Dianor Compagnie. She created movement together with 8 other dancers and Amala Dianor for the piece ''The Falling Stardust'' that is currently on tour in France until 2021. Yukie lives and teaches now in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
